My name is Rick Bennett and I am the proud owner of Café Roux located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a restaurateur, we all know that a restaurant POS system is a necessary tool to operate efficiently.

I was using a cash register for a long time, and as stressful as that was, I could not justify the start-up cost of traditional POS systems, and not to mention the cost of upgrades.

After using my Halo system and developing a database, we were able to make several adjustments to our menu. We dropped some items that did not sell and started producing more of the best sellers, which in turn has increased our profits.

In our case, the biggest advantage was reducing ticket times by not having to run each ticket back to the kitchen. Another benefit was the printed tickets because with our old system, each ticket had to be hand-written. The bottom line is that food cost is down, productivity is up, and our customers are better-served now. There are just too many benefits to the Halo system to name at one time, and my only regret is taking so long to order this system.

Halo is a web based POS system that allows you to access the system backend from anywhere that has a high speed internet connection and see sales as they are entered in real time. They also back up your data for you and store it with a 3rd party so you can focus all your time on serving your customers.
