Better Tracking

Trying to track information on sales, staff, and promotions was very time consuming or impossible when using a cash register. "We would have to manually count each coupon that came in at the end of each day and calculate the information from rolls of z-tape."

"With Halo, it is so easy! It takes no time to track and analyze this information. We can see all kinds of reports for a specific day, a week, or the whole month. We can also track how productive our employees are and what products are selling the most, and least."

Sales increased by over 25% per month

After installing Halo in October 2006, this Kernels location realized that sales were at a 15-year high! Sales saw an average increase of 25% each month since the installation of Halo. "Obviously there were other factors that contributed, but Halo was a big factor for this increase. It helps us control and monitor our sales at a much higher level."

"With Halo, we have eliminated the time wasted on manually counting the coupons we redeemed at the end of each work day. It takes about 10 minutes a day to count these coupons, which equates to about 60 hours a year. With the cost of labour of my employees and my own time, we saved about $1698 annually!!"

Positive Impacts on the Business

"Another benefit of Halo is that we can see in real time each staff member's sales numbers. We can see what was selling and who was selling the most. There are also less errors when the staff rings in sales because they can see what they have entered on the screen. With less errors, we can serve more customers and it also decreases our end-of-the-night paperwork load, making it that much easier.

On the security side, we were able to install real time cameras so we can see what is going on in the store even when we are not physically there. Halo also allows us to track all the no-sales and voids performed and by whom, enabling us to track any suspicious activity early on. Our employees know this as well, and in turn they work harder, are more honest, and productive."
